Georgia Faye Cornett Brown
Georgia Faye Cornett Brown, age 88, of Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the Tri Cities Rehab Center in Cumberland.
She is survived by her children: Barbara Hernandez of Maryville, TN, Edward Brown of Cumberland, Debra Brown of Cumberland and James Brown of Cumberland; two step-daughters: Pamela Broockman of Maryville, TN and Patricia Shelton of Jefferson County, TN; a brother: Elmon Cornett of Linefork; a sister: Judith Disney of Cumberland; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service for Georgia Faye Cornett Brown will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations can be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s hospital.
The Tri City Funeral Home of Benham is in charge of the arrangements.
Elmon Wright
Elmon Wright, age 71, of Jenkins, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the Cabell Huntington Hospital.
He is survived by one son: Tyler Wright; one daughter: Angelina Chapala; three brothers: Johnnie Wright, Delmon Wright, and Kenny Wright; one sister: Glenda Elkins; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services for Elmon Wright will be held at 1:00pm this afternoon, Monday July 27, 2026 at the Pilgrim’s Rest Old Regular Baptist Church with Old Regular Baptist ministers officiating.
Burial will follow in the Johnson Newsom Addington Cemetery at Brushy.
