Gwendolyn “Gwen” Saylor, age 70, of Smoot Creek, passed away on Thursday November 23, 2023 at her residence.
She is survived by her husband: Charles Saylor Jr. of Smoot Creek; 2 daughters: Chenoa Pack of Smoot Creek and Terri McCurry of Harlan; 3 sons: Shane Collins of Smoot Creek, J.C. Jones of Pennsylvania and Michael Saylor of Richmond; 2 sisters: Stella Bates of Whitesburg and Mary “Kitten” Wilson of Smoot Creek; 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Gwendolyn “Gwen” Saylor will be held at 1:00pm this afternoon, Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the Everidge Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Hurst officiating.
Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.

James Murriel McCoy age 58 of Jenkins, formerly of Elkhorn City, passed away Monday, November 20, 2023, at the Pikeville Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife: Kimberly Sue Baldridge McCoy; 2 sons: James Michael McCoy of Lick Creek and Johnny Richard McCoy of Jenkins: 2 daughters: Trisina Honaker of Robinson Creek and Elaina McCoy of Jenkins and 6 grandchildren.
Funeral services for James Murriel McCoy will be held at 7:00pm tomorrow, Monday, November 27, 2023 at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home at Virgie with Dolph Kelly officiating.
Visitation will be after 6:00pm this evening, Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the Hall and Jones Funeral Home with services tonight beginning at 7:00PM.
Instead of flowers, donations can be made for funeral expenses to the Hall & Jones Funeral Home at Virgie.
