Floyd County Woman Arrested After Police Chase Reaching Over 100 MPH

101 miles an hour is said to be the top speed of a Floyd County woman accused of leading police on a chase through Prestonsburg last week. A Prestonsburg Police officer initially tried to stop Sabrina Howell of Martin for allegedly driving in the wrong lane on Route 1428, but he claims when he went to pull her over, she sped up. Mountain Top News reports other officers joined the chase along several roads, but she eventually stopped near Auxier. Police allege she had open alcoholic beverages in the car and a handgun which she is not allowed due to being a persistent felony offender.
