Governor Declares State of Emergency for Winter Storm

Governor Andy Beshear has declared a State of Emergency for the winter storm currently icing Eastern Kentucky. A National Weather Service Winter Storm Warning is in effect until Tuesday afternoon with 3-8 inches of snow possible especially above 1500 feet. Beshear says with the potential for power disruptions and treacherous roads the state’s Emergency Operations Center will operate at Level 4. And he has activated the state’s price gouging laws to keep you from being overpriced for anything.
