Breaks Park Superintendent Warns Motorists of Elk in the Road

If you’ll be driving on the US 460 connector through the Breaks Interstate Park watch out for the elk. The Park Superintendent says work on the Coalfield Expressway Expansion recently connected Pike County to Buchanan County though a roaming area for elk under the Buchanan County repopulation project. He says people are so excited about using the new road they are not paying attention and at least four elk have been hit. He says so far no people or elk have major injuries, but wants to avoid it.
