Buckhorn is struggling with a weather-related water outage, a tall task for the brand new mayor. Earlier this month the Buckhorn City Council voted to remove Mayor Paul Robert Turner from the position with the City Attorney reportedly telling WYMT there were some financial irregularities. Monday the Council swore in Simmie Bowling as the new mayor. Bowling said the water issues are common when it gets this cold but hopes to get the issues addressed in the future.
