While Hazard remains under a State of Emergency because of the ongoing water shortage, officials say they are making progress in getting the water tanks refilled as crews continue to chase down leaks. Meanwhile the Perry County Sheriff asks that you check on your neighbors and if someone is not able to get to one of the places where they have been giving out bottled water, let the Sheriff’s Office know and they’ll bring it.
