Charlie Monroe Baker

Charlie Monroe Baker, age 80, of Millstone, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024.

He is survived by his wife:  Marie Ann Bentley and an adopted daughter: Barbara Ann Baker Blunt.

Funeral services for Charlie Monroe Baker will be held at 2:00pm Monday, February 19, 2024, at the Whitesburg First Baptist Church with Paul Davis Jr. officiating. 

Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of service at 2:00pm Monday, February 19, 2024, at the Whitesburg First Baptist Church. 

Burial will follow in the Mossie Baker Cemetery at Sandlick.

The Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg is in charge of the arrangements. 

Pamela Rasnick Dixon

Pamela Rasnick Dixon of Concord, North Carolina formerly of Letcher County passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Atrium Health.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Marsha Cannon of Concord, NC and Lettie Dixon of Asheville, NC; 1 son: William Gary Wright of Lake Tahoe, NV; foster son Joseph Godsey; 3 grandchildren and 2 sisters: Ida Mullins and Catherine Rasnick. 

Funeral services for Pamela Rasnick Dixon will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at the Blackey Missionary Baptist Church in Blackey.

Visitation will be after 6:00pm Monday, February 19, 2024 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Healing Appalachia.

Teddy Austin Johnson

Teddy Austin Johnson, age 72, passed away Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  

He is survived by his wife: Sharon Gail Miller Johnson; 2 sons: Damian Joseph Johnson and Graham Patrick Johnson; 1 brother: Freddie Johnson; 1 sister: Madelyn Davis and 6 grandchildren.  

Visitation will be after 6:00pm Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024 at the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church.  Church services will be Sunday at 7:00pm.

Funeral services for Teddy Austin Johnson will be held at 11:00am Monday,Feb. 19, 2024 at the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church with Greg Polly officiating.  

Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery at number 1 hill at Burdine.

The Lucas and Son Funeral Home of Pike County is in charge of the arrangements.  

Julie Quillen

Julie Quillen, age 75, of Deane, passed away Wednesday February 14, 2024 at her residence.

She is survived by 1 daughter: Lisa Ann Elkins of Deane; 1 son: Emitt Vineyard Quillen of Lexington; 3 sisters: Lois Sexton of Clay City, Zola Hall of Sweetwater, Tennessee and Shirley Collins of Haymond; 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. 

Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00pm Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the Everidge Funeral Home Chapel.  

Funeral services for Julie Quillen will be held at 1:00pm, Monday February 19, 2024 at the Deane Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in the John Bentley Cemetery at Deane.
