The Letcher County Sheriff wants to know who supplied the booze for a group of more than 50 teenagers who had their party broken up by deputies Saturday night. Someone called 911 to report the large party that included underage drinking with beer and liquor on a strip mine on Thornton. Sheriff Mickey Stines tells the Mountain Eagle the deputies and the Constable did not haul the kids off to the Juvenile Justice Center but instead called their parents and stayed on scene until they were all picked up. Stines says none of the teens will be charged but if they find an adult who supplied the alcohol, they probably will be.
