A Floyd County man who works for the School District has been indicted on rape charges for incidents that allegedly happened between 1995 and 1997. WYMT reports John Martin of Drift has been indicted by a Floyd County Grand Jury. The Floyd County School District confirmed he is an employee but says when they first heard of the investigation he was placed into a position where he would not be working with, or around, any district students. They say they are cooperating with the investigation but they do need to balance the safety of the students with the legal rights of the employee.
