An autopsy is being conducted on the body of a Letcher County woman found dead near a cemetery at Cowan last week. Kentucky State Police are investigating but saying very little about the death of Angela Roberts of Bald Mountain Road who was found dead Thursday night on Dinah Blair Road. The preliminary information was that she’d suffered a gunshot wound and it was being investigated as a homicide but they have not indicated how she was found or given word on any suspect. The Mountain Eagle reports Roberts’ daughter, Patricia Deatherage, was found dead of a gunshot in the same area last August in a case that remains unsolved.
