The Harlan County Black Bears made an epic run to the Boys Sweet 16 championship game Saturday night where they took on Lyon County for the state title.
The game featured 2 of the 3 top KHSAA boys scorers of all time in UK commit Travis Perry for Lyon County and South Carolina commit Trent Noah of Harlan County.
With attendance at over 15,000 it was a close title game with Lyon County out of Eddyville KY pulling away to win their first ever state championship 67-58.
The Black Bears had a great run and finish the year at 34-5 and state runner up.
A celebration of the season took place at Harlan County high school last night.
