Leslie County will benefit from some recent state funding for economic development geared toward Eastern Kentucky. On Thursday the board of the non-profit organization FOCUS met with county and state officials to talk about $48 million in projects coming to the region. Rep. Tim Truett told WYMT the money will help improve living conditions for residents as well as grow business and tourism with several infrastructure projects on tap, including upgrades for water, sewer, electricity and internet as well as roads.
