JACKSON, Ky. – Railroad crossing repairs scheduled by CSX Transportation will result in two-day closures for two highways in Perry County in the upcoming weeks.
The crossings to be closed are:
- KY 699 at milepoint 10.095, from 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7, until 10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8. This is near the intersection with Holbrook Lane and Deephole Branch Road. This will affect more than 1,600 drivers who use this route each day.
- KY 7 at milepoint 11.3, from 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, until 10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15. This is in the Cornettsville community, near Blue Goose Hollow Road and the bridge crossing Leatherwood Creek. This will affect nearly 2,000 drivers who use this route each day.
Signed detours will be posted for both routes affected by the closures. Electronic message boards will be posted in advance of the closure dates to inform motorists of the upcoming closures.
In case of inclement weather, the projects may be delayed until another suitable date.
