The 14th Region softball tournament semi-finals were played last night at Perry County Central.
In game one, it was Estill County over Wolfe County 3-0 and in game two, after leading by 6 going into the bottom of the 7th inning, the Letcher County Central Lady Cougars hung on to pick up the solid 7-5 win over Perry County Central.
In the game Chloe Wampler went 3-4 and Scarlett Stamper hit a solo home run for Letcher Central.
The Lady Cougars Alyssa Nicely got the win, pitching a complete game, giving up 5 runs on nine hits with 7 strikeouts and no walks.
Perry County Central committed 7 errors in the game.
The LCC Lady Cougars will now take on Estill County Saturday at 3:00pm in the 14th Regiom championship game with a trip to the KHSAA Softball State Tournament on the line.
