Eleven men have recently graduated from Hazard Community and Technical College’s re-entry training program for those who have been incarcerated.
HCTC launched the program in 2023 and this is their second graduating class.
The Hazard Herald reports they completed certificates in carpentry including basic carpenter, residential site layout and construction forms.
The program is a collaborative effort between HCTC, the Kentucky River Regional Jail, the Perry County Fiscal Court and others.
