A homicide charge has been filed against a North Carolina man who led police on a chase through Harlan, Letcher and Wise counties last week that ended with a fatal crash.
Police say Dimitri Green was the driver of a car wanted in connection with a theft in Hazard.
Police allege Green drove into oncoming traffic at times over 100 mph before colliding head-on with another car, killing that driver.
Green and his two passengers were also hospitalized with injuries.
Green is charged with felony homicide and eluding police in Virginia as well as the initial theft and several other charges in Kentucky.
