Derek Hill’s grand slam capped a five-run first inning and Marlins starter Valente Bellozo carried a shutout into the sixth as Miami held off a late Reds rally and beat Cincinnati 6-4 on Wednesday night, to win game 3 of the 4 game series.
The Reds are now 55-59, 9.5 games behind the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL central and 5.5 games out of the National League wild card race.
The Reds and Marlins will wrap up their 4 game series tonight in Miami with first pitch at 6:10 and pregame at 5:40 this afternoon on Real Country 95.1 WTCW.
The Reds will then head to Milwaukee to face the Brewers in a big 3 game weekend series starting tomorrow.
