There is new interim leadership in place at the Kentucky River Regional Animal Shelter.
Last night the Shelter had its first board meeting since former board president Tony
Vaughn stepped down earlier this month following months of allegations of poor
management and animal care. WYMT reports Bill Colwell was unanimously voted in as
the interim president. At their September meeting they reportedly plan to fill out the
board which is made up of representatives from all four counties the Shelter covers.
