Kingscreek Fire Chief Found Guilty of Sexual Abuse Charges Involving A Minor

The chief of the Kingscreek Volunteer Fire Department has reportedly been found guilty of sexual abuse of a minor.

The Mountain Eagle reports Robert “Bill” Meade was convicted last week by a jury after prosecutors said he’d groped a 14-year-old girl he’d hired to wash a fire truck.

The jury deliberated just 15 minutes before returning a verdict of guilty to first-degree criminal sexual abuse.

The jury recommended the maximum of five years for the 81-year-old Meade when he is sentenced by a judge in November and if that happens Meade would reportedly also have to complete a sex offender treatment program before being released.
