The 14th Region Volleyball Tournament got underway at Powell County High School in Stanton with four opening round games.
In the first game Knott County Central beat Breathitt County, in game two, the Letcher County Central Lady Cougars beat 56th district champion and the home team Powell County Lady Pirates 3-0 with scores of 25-11, 25-18 and 25-19.
Game three had Leslie County beating Estill County and in game four Wolfe County knocked off Perry County Central.
So the 14th region volleyball tournament semi-finals are now set for tonight.
In game one this evening at Powell County High School in Stanton starting at 6:00pm, Wolfe County will take on Letcher County Central. They met twice during the regular season with each team winning once.
Semifinal two tonight around 8:00pm will be Leslie County facing Knott County Central.
The girls 14th Region Tournament championship game will be this Wednesday at 7:00pm at Powell County.
