A West Virginia man is facing drug trafficking charges after allegedly running from a roadblock in Pike County.
Kentucky State Police were running the roadblock on Route 319 at Hardy, when they stopped Brian Woodson of Huntington.
Mountain Top News reports the officer claimed they smelled pot coming from the car, so they asked him to pull into a nearby parking lot for questioning but he took off.
Troopers chased him to a dead end on Narrows Branch.
They say a search turned up a quarter-pound of meth hidden under the car’s hood, along with smaller amounts of fentanyl and marijuana.
Woodson was arrested for trafficking meth and fentanyl, fleeing police, DUI and more.
