Some mixed-income housing is reportedly being planned for the former Fleming-Neon High School.
According to the Mountain Eagle, HOMES, Inc is including it as part of their overall plan to build about 100 housing units in Letcher County which officials hope to get funded with some money from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Community Development Block Grants for Disaster Recovery.
Other sites in the HOMES Inc plan include The Cottages at Thompson Branch at Marlowe, which are already underway, some single-family houses in Thornton and UZ, and some townhouses in Whitesburg.
