The magical season for the Knott County Central Lady Patriots volleyball team came to an end last night at GRC in Winchester with a 3-0 loss to Notre Dame High School in the KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament quarterfinals. The final set scores were 25-13, 25-10 and 25-10.
Knott County Central ended the season with a record of 31-10, as 53rd District Champions, 14th Region Champions and made their first ever appearance in the Volleyball State Tournament, making it to the quarterfinals after beating Ashland Blazer in the opening round.
The semifinals will be today with Scott playing Mercy Academy at 11:00am and Notre Dame takes on Assumption at 1:30pm.
The Volleyball state championship game will be tonight at 7:30pm with all games being playing at George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester.
