A Christmas Eve drug bust has landed a Prestonsburg man in jail.
The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were following up on an investigation when they discovered what they call “a sizable amount” of illegal drugs.
Deputies along with K9 “Zoe” executed a search warrant at the home of Roy Gipson on Frank Arnett Drive and they say they seized nearly a half-pound of meth, 17 grams of heroin, some pills and some weapons.
Gipson is facing several charges including trafficking and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and was being held in the Floyd County Jail.
