Kathy “Nanny” Rose, age 75, of Cromona, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Elkhorn City.
She is survived by 3 sons: Rodney Wayne Rose of McRoberts, Homer Rose III of Cromona and David Rose of Payne Gap; 2 daughters: Sandra Black of Redding, Ohio and Juanita “Sissy” Rose of Cromona; 2 sisters: Cynthia Perry of Jenkins and Renee Albright of Trenton, Ohio; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 6:00pm Monday, January 13, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services for Kathy “Nanny” Rose will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Sturgill officiating.

Kimberlea Adams Combs, age 70, of Isom passed away on Tuesday January 7, 2025 at her residence.
She is survived by her husband Ralph Combs; 1 son: Morgan David Combs; 2 grandsons: Mason Combs and Ethan Brown; 1 brother: George Allan Adams; 1 sister: Kyra Blair along with several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Kimberlea Adams Combs will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday January 14, 2025 at the Isom Presbyterian Church.

Donnie Coots, age 78, of Viper passed away on Thursday January 9, 2025 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.
He is survived by his wife: Carlene Coots of Viper; One Son: Jeffrey Scott Coots of Viper; One Daughter: Paula Combs of Hazard; 5 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Granchildren and Special Friend: Charles Jackson.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon-2:00pm today, Sunday January 12, 2025 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home in Hazard.

Gladys Cornett, age 97, of Cumberland passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the Tri-Cities Nursing Home.
She is survived by 4 children: Cathy Ann Ison of Cumberland, Alan Lee Cornett of Cumberland, Danny Lynn Cornett of Gordon, and Norma Jean Childers of Lexington; 14 grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11:00am-1:00pm today, Sunday, January 12, 2025 at the Sand Hill Baptist Church in Cumberland.
Funeral services for Gladys Cornett will follow at 1:00pm this afternoon, Sunday, January 12, 2025 at the Sand Hill Baptist Church with Donnie Ray Dixon and Roger Colinger officiating.
