Kentucky State Police say a man recently arrested for stealing equipment from a mining
company was in possession of more than $100,000 worth of gear.
Timothy Maynard was arrested for the January 18 theft at McCoy Elkhorn Coal in Kimper.
The Mountain Eagle reports the security guard there alleges he had seen Maynard there before and this time got his license plate number.
KSP says investigators who went to Maynard’s home claimed they found tools, metal, fire bridges, fire packs and more, with the company calling the total value around $116,000.
