Kentucky Gets Huge Win Over Tennessee in Knoxville

It was a great win as #12 Kentukcy went into Thompson Bolling Arena and knocked off the #8 Tennessee Volunteers last night in Knoxville 78-73.

Kentucky was a 9 point underdog and didn’t have Lamont Butler due to injury and limited minutes from Andrew Carr due to back issues.

Koby Brea led Kentucky with 18 on 5 for 5 3-point shooting, Jaxson Robinson put in 17 and played point guard. Amari Williams had 10 points, 15 rebounds. Oweh had 14 and Almonor scored 12. Our Harlan County guy Trent Noah played 9 minutes and scored 5 points including a 3.

It was the first home loss of the year for Tennessee and the Cats scored more points against them than any other team so far this year.

Up next Coach Cal and the Arkansas Razorbacks will come to town to face Kentucky Saturday night at Rupp Arena. Tipoff is at 9:00pm with pregame at 7:30pm Saturday night here on the Bulldog.

Due to the Cats being on the road early this week, the UK Coach Mark Pope Show will air tonight, Wednesday, at 6:00pm, followed by the UK Women’s Coach Kenny Brooks Show at 7:00pm with BBN Live to follow all this evening on 103.9 The Bulldog.

The Kentucky Wildcat Women’s team will be back in action against #19 Alabama in Historic Memorial Coliseum this Thursday with tipoff at 7:00pm.
