A new career training opportunity is coming to Eastern Kentucky.
Hazard Community and Technical College says they are set to launch Kentucky’s only nuclear medicine imaging program later this year which they say is in response to growing demand for
people who can do it.
The program coordinator says there are not currently enough up-and-comers to fill the positions of those retiring from the field, so new students into the program will find themselves on a track to a high-demand, high-paying job.
The program at HCTC will combine coursework in human anatomy, nuclear physics and patient care with hands-on clinical training.
Applications close May 1 for Fall 2025.
