Some new state laws take effect today.
Qualified patients can now apply for a medical cannabis card which requires a written certification from an authorized doctor.
But even though licensed dispensaries are able to start selling medical cannabis today, the law requires the cannabis to be grown in the state, so it is likely not available anywhere yet.
Another new law effective today requires anyone looking to renew your Kentucky driver’s license to first complete a vision test.
That can be done at any Driver Licensing Regional Offices when you are getting your renewal.
You can also submit a form showing that you’ve had a vision test in the last year, but it must be signed by a doctor.
