The Appalachian Regional Commission wants to know exactly how they are doing with
their programs to expand broadband internet service to more communities.
They are looking for a contractor to evaluate the performance and outcomes of more than 80 broadband and digital opportunity projects they funded between 2019 and 2023.
In that time ARC says they awarded about $28 million in grants to match another $29 million in private investment that aimed to help 70,000 households and 7,000 businesses.
