Appalachian Regional Healthcare says they have earned accreditation from the Commission on Cancer which is a quality program of the American College of Surgeons. It is specifically for the ARH cancer programs in Harlan, Hazard, Highlands, Middlesboro, and Tug Valley. To achieve the accreditation, ARH underwent a site visit to confirm that they were in compliance with accreditation standards for the cancer care services they offer.
