Bond remains at $1 million for an Auxier man charged with murder for a shooting death
last spring.
Larry Johnson is charged with murder for the shooting death of Steven Adkins following an argument on the Auxier bridge in Floyd County.
At a hearing last week his attorney asked for his bond to be lowered because they say he does not have the means to afford it.
Mountain Top News reports prosecutors say he is a flight risk, pointing to the fact that he eluded police for 24 hours after the shooting and that he recently sold his home.
The judge said no lowering his bond.
