Kentucky State Police released the name of the person killed in a crash Tuesday in Breathitt County.
Officials say they responded to a call Tuesday morning when Jordan Gross, 27, of Canoe, was traveling on KY-30 West and lost control of his vehicle.
According to investigators, Gross’ vehicle hit black ice and went over the center line, striking another vehicle head-on.
Gross was pronounced dead by officials with the Breathitt County Coroner’s Office.
The person driving the other vehicle was airlifted to UK Hospital and listed in critical condition.
Troopers said no seat belts were used at the time of the crash and toxicology reports are pending.
