Big Sandy Community and Technical College is going to start a paramedic training program next fall. Officials say they will build on their existing emergency medical services curriculum and offer hybrid paramedic classes, with sessions conducted one day a week. EMS Program Coordinator/Instructor Chris Gilley says the paramedic program has the potential to enhance support within the community during critical situations. There will be some mandatory information sessions for admission to the Paramedic Training Program; they say those will be announced soon.
