The City of Hazard has declared a State of Emergency with several water tanks depleted in the wake of freezing temperatures that froze the river and creek water sources and also led to broken pipes and leaks in both service lines and main lines. The City says crews are working around the clock to repair leaks and have not valved any areas off, the outages are strictly due to the tanks being depleted. They have been utilizing some inter-connects but all the surrounding areas are experiencing the same issues.
