City of Jenkins to Hold Public Meeting About Stormwater and Flood Mitigation Plan

The City of Jenkins is holding a community meeting next week about their upcoming
$5.2 million stormwater and flood-mitigation plan.

The meeting is on Tuesday, October 28, from 6pm to 8pm at Jenkins City Hall.

The goals of the project are to reduce flooding risks, improve storm drainage, and protect city infrastructure during severe weather.

Officials say it builds on Jenkins’ ongoing efforts to monitor stream levels and strengthen resilience after recent years of flooding.

At the meeting you’ll be able to ask questions of the engineers and share information you have about flooding trouble spots.
