Whitesburg’s public swimming pool could be back open by summer 2025.
At their meeting last week the City Council affirmed a plan to pay for fixing the pool which was
damaged in the July 2022 flood.
The Mountain Eagle reports the city is applying for a grant from the federal Land and Water Conservation Fund which will pay for about half if the city will pay the other half.
The Mayor said at the meeting that half will come from some state money to support projects that are “in the public interest”.
