When you get a chance, check out the work underway at the Harry M. Caudill Library in Whitesburg, where crews have been replacing the building’s 14 large front windows, along with several others.
The Mountain Eagle reports this is the first major exterior upgrade to the library in more than 50 years.
Officials say the new double-pane windows provide much more efficient insulation, and the change is expected to significantly reduce heating and cooling costs.
The project is being completed by Lewis Brothers Construction, which has previously done work on the building.
