PIKEVILLE, Ky.(Oct. 6, 2024) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises the public of daytime closures for drilling repairs in Letcher County.
Crews will repair multiple sites along KY 3401 (Dryfork/UZ Rd) between MP 0.0 (Ky 588) and 0.9 (Ky 15). The closures will last from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm beginning Monday, October 7. During this time, crews drill and repair embankments. Due to the narrow road widths and size of the drilling equipment, a daytime closure is needed for this type of repair.
Emergency Vehicles and School Buses will be accommodated. All other motorists will need to detour during working hours. Please exercise caution in work zones and follow posted signage.
Schedules are based on weather conditions. Blue Rock. has been contracted to perform the work.
