A good portion of Thornton Road will be blocked during the day for the rest of this week.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says they are doing daytime closures on KY 1862
in Thornton from today through Friday between Homeplace Drive and Phoenix Drive.
The road is scheduled to be closed from 8am to 5pm each day to deal with what they
call roadway settlement and embankment stability.
Emergency vehicles and school buses will be accommodated but everyone else will need to go another way.
