A Dickenson County man facing charges for some car thefts last year is facing charges for allegedly mailing threats to federal officials. Jonathan Reed Stiltner has been in the Southwestern Regional Jail since last spring, but a new federal indictment handed down last week alleges he has been mailing threatening letters to federal officials from jail, including to the U.S. Attorney’s Offices in Abingdon and Roanoke, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
