The Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame honored Bell Co. football head coach Dudley Hilton as the recipient of the Howard Schnellenberger Coach of the Year award last Thursday, June 26.
The recognition is in the namesake of Schnellenberger, who was an All-American at the University of Kentucky.
He also coached at Kentucky among several other collegiate and NFL teams including a national title run as the head coach at Miami in the early 80s.
Dudley Hilton is the second-winningest football head coach in KHSAA history and has won three state championships (1991, 1997, 2008) in his 50 years on the sidelines.
