Following an order issued back in October in the wake of federal Department of Government Efficiency cutbacks across several departments, all Federal cases formerly heard in Pikeville for issues in Pike, Floyd, Knott or Letcher counties will now be heard in London.
Federal cases from Johnson, Magoffin or Martin will now be heard in Ashland.
Federal Court has been heard in Pikeville for more than 83 years, but the location had been on the chopping block before.
