FEMA Reimburses KYEM over $20 Million in Debris Cleanup

FEMA has reportedly doled out another multi million dollar reimbursement for cleanup from the July 2022 flood. WYMT reports Kentucky Emergency Management is getting about $20.8 million for cleaning up debris left behind from the flooding and its storms, landslides, and mudslides. In all, KYEM says the debris encompassed about 800 tons of trees and vegetation, about 103,000 tons of construction and demolition materials, 1,700 tons of appliances and nearly 300 tons of E-waste.
