Despite the damage from the February flood, it seems Coal Run’s city park will be ready
to go for an Independence Day Celebration.
The Celebration in the Park is set for Thursday July 3.
The Appalachian News Express reports at last week’s Coal Run City Commission meeting the mayor thanked the commissioners, police and fire departments and city staff for their hard work in putting the event together and getting the park ready.
It was completely underwater after the February flood and after removing all the mud and debris it needed repairs and to be rewired.
