A Floyd County man is in custody after allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase
Tuesday.
A Kentucky State Police trooper says he saw an SUV driving on the wrong side of the road and tried to stop it.
But KSP alleges the driver, Jeffery Lumpkins, took off at 78 mph in a 55-mph zone and nearly hit some other vehicles until he eventually stopped and was arrested.
WYMT reports he is charged with multiple counts of fleeing police as well as wanton endangerment.
