Floyd County Man Arrested on Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

A Floyd County man faces drug charges after a police car camera caught him talking about a stash in his car.

A KSP Trooper says he stopped Isaac Spears in Martin for having an expired tag.

When the trooper learned Spears and his passenger had warrants, he put them in the back of his car.

A search of the car turned up drug paraphernalia but no drugs.

Mountain Top News reports later as the trooper reviewed video of the two men talking in the police car, Spears allegedly described drugs hidden in the car.

The officer went to the impound lot where the car had been towed and found a bag of meth and a bag of Klonopin and Spears is now also charged with trafficking.
