An Auxier man has been indicted by a grand jury on charges connected to threatening a
US postal worker.
Jonathan Joseph Howell was arrested in August for allegedly threatening to open fire at a post office and kill a postal worker and his family.
Mountain Top News reports a Floyd County grand jury has indicted him for second-degree
terroristic threatening, third-degree terroristic threatening, and intimidating a participant
in the legal process for allegedly threatening the postal worker again later to get him to
drop his accusation.
Meanwhile, Howell is also accused of threatening to kill Floyd District Judge Jimmy “Blue” Marcum.
That case has yet to go before the grand jury.
