Former Jenkins Volleyball Coach Facing Charges

A former Jenkins High School coach is reportedly facing charges for assaulting a police
officer.

The Mountain Eagle reports Leonard Anderson, who was a volleyball coach, is charged with assault, terroristic threatening, disorderly conduct and more for the September 19 incident at his home.

Jenkins and Neon Police were called to an alleged domestic dispute where they claim Anderson was drunk and threatened them.

Jenkins firefighters were called due to an apparent injury to his knee.

Police allege that when they were moving his handcuffs from behind his back to in front of him, Anderson punched one of them.

He was taken to the Letcher County Jail but is out on bond.
